Grootegeluk supports Lephalale learners with school shoes
Grootegeluk’s school shoe programme reached learners across all three Lephalale circuits.
Grootegeluk embarked on a three-day school shoe handover programme, reaching learners across the Palala South, Palala North and Ellisras circuits.
Working closely with the Department of Education, the team identified learners most in need to help ensure the support reached those who would benefit most. For many learners, a new pair of school shoes brings confidence, dignity and a sense of belonging, while helping remove one of the everyday barriers to attending school regularly.
By working with schools and local stakeholders, the Grootegeluk team ensured every handover was carried out with care and respect.
Completing the handover in all three circuits demonstrates our ongoing commitment to investing in education and supporting the communities we serve. It is another example of how small acts, delivered with purpose and partnership, can create meaningful impact in the lives of young people.

Why this matters: Education creates opportunity, but learners need the right support to make the most of it. By investing in dignity, confidence and school attendance, we are helping to create stronger foundations for learning while strengthening the long-term resilience of the communities we serve.
