Celebrating the next generation of local entrepreneurs
Leeuwpan celebrated nine graduates from its two-year Enterprise and Supplier Development Programme.
After two years of learning, mentorship and practical support, nine entrepreneurs graduated from Leeuwpan Mine’s Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) Programme. Their graduation marks an important step towards building stronger businesses that can contribute to local economic growth and create opportunities for others.
Delivered as part of Leeuwpan’s Social and Labour Plan (SLP) in partnership with Raizcorp, the programme equipped participants with practical business skills, guidance and mentorship covering business strategy, financial management, marketing, operations and leadership.
The Executive Mayor of the Victor Khanye Local Municipality, Cllr Vusi Buda, shared words of encouragement with the graduates, before Leeuwpan General Manager, Ronald Teffo, concluded the programme by recognising their achievement and encouraging them to build sustainable businesses that create lasting opportunities in their communities.
Congratulations to our nine graduates: Charlotte Sibanyoni, Arthur Mashabela, Lunga Mashiyane, Queeneth Sibande, Kagiso Seakgoe, Aphiwe Matosa, Doctor Msiza, Lucas Sibanyoni and Bandile Zikhali. We wish them every success as they continue to grow their businesses and create impact beyond the surface through the opportunities they create.

Why this matters: Strong local businesses create stronger, thriving communities. By investing in entrepreneurs and helping them build sustainable businesses, we create opportunities that can benefit families, local economies and future generations.
