Belfast prepares businesses for procurement

Belfast’s Supplier Readiness Masterclass focused on emerging local businesses that had not previously secured Exxaro procurement opportunities. Entrepreneurs learnt about our procurement processes, compliance requirements, health and safety standards, commercial contracts and business governance, helping them better understand what is required to participate in our supply chain.

Matla builds business readiness beyond mining

More than 50 entrepreneurs and business owners from Ga-Nala attended Matla’s annual Supplier Readiness Masterclass. With support from the South African Revenue Service (SARS) and South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), participants covered compliance, cash flow management, supplier onboarding and digital readiness. They were also encouraged to explore opportunities across other industries, supporting businesses that can grow beyond mining.

Grootegeluk connects businesses with experts

At Grootegeluk, entrepreneurs received one-on-one guidance from specialists in tax, labour, accounting and Exxaro’s supply chain processes. The discussions covered tendering, procurement, governance, compliance, financial management and health and safety, giving participants advice relevant to their individual business needs.

Leeuwpan turns learning into action

Leeuwpan combined group learning with individual consultations focused on participants’ business challenges. Following sessions on procurement, compliance, financial management and supplier capability, entrepreneurs received practical guidance on tax, supplier onboarding, business registration and enterprise development that they could apply in their businesses.
