The recognition reflects Exxaro’s continued focus on employee experience, growth, leadership and creating a workplace where people feel supported and empowered to create impact. Exxaro was one of only seven mining companies recognised in South Africa.

Global recognition reflects Exxaro’s continued investment in creating a workplace where people can thrive.
Exxaro has once again been recognised as a Top Employer in South Africa by the global Top Employers Institute, marking the fifth time the business has received the prestigious certification.
The recognition reflects Exxaro’s continued commitment to building a workplace where employees are supported, empowered and encouraged to do their best work. This year, Exxaro achieved an overall score of 89.49%, improving from 83.39% in 2025, while achieving full scores across critical areas including Business Strategy, People Strategy, Work Environment, Employer Branding, Purpose and Values, and Ethics and Integrity.
Established more than 30 years ago, the Top Employers Institute oversees a global certification programme evaluating organisations on their people practices, workplace culture and employee support. During 2025, more than 2 278 organisations across six continents participated in the process, including 31 global mining companies.

The achievement reinforces Exxaro’s broader commitment to creating a workplace culture where people can grow, contribute meaningfully and thrive together.
