Nurses are the heart of healthcare
Exxaro celebrated International Nurses Day, recognising nurses’ invaluable contribution to employee health and wellbeing.
To mark International Nurses Day, the Grootegeluk Occupational Centre celebrated our dedicated nurses, whose compassion, professionalism and expertise help keep employees healthy, supported and safe throughout their working lives.
During the celebrations, Chief Health Facility Officer, Shumani Nedombeloni, described nursing as a calling, rooted in compassion and service, and encouraged nurses to continue caring for employees with dedication. He also spoke to the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and online self-diagnosis, reminding attendees that informed, professional healthcare has never been more important and that trust lies at the heart of quality healthcare.
By recognising our nurses, the Medical Centre celebrated the people at the heart of employee healthcare and the important role they play in supporting the health, wellbeing and safety of our people every day.
