Financial losses can lead to job losses, as companies may need to downsize or shut down due to financial constraints. Repeated instances of fraud can erode investor confidence, making it challenging for companies to attract investments and funding.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Individuals found guilty of fraud might lose their jobs and suffer significant financial losses, which can lead to financial hardship and stress. In addition, pension or retirement benefits of employees found guilty of fraud may be withheld and not paid out. Section 37D(1)(b)(ii) of the Pension Funds Act 24 of 1956 provides that a retirement fund may deduct any amount due by a member to his\/her employer for any damage caused to the employer by reason of theft, dishonesty, fraud, or misconduct by the member. <\/p>\n

Furthermore, Fraud is a criminal offence, and perpetrators will be prosecuted and might receive a criminal record, which will have a direct negative effect on future employment. <\/p>\n

Fraud can therefore cause emotional trauma, including feelings of anxiety, depression, and vulnerability. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
