On 7 February, Exxaro\u2019s Leeuwpan Mine and colleagues from the conneXXion, teamed up with Swartklip Combined School in Delmas for a Wetland Clean-up Campaign. This initiative aimed to raise awareness among learners about the importance of wetlands and environmental conservation.<\/span><\/o:p>\u00a0<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n

As part of the campaign, learners were educated on the significance of World Wetlands Day, observed annually on 2 February, and the vital role wetlands play in water purification, biodiversity, and climate resilience. To promote sustainable waste management, Exxaro also donated dustbins to the school, encouraging learners to maintain a clean and eco-friendly environment.<\/o:p><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n

This initiative reflects Exxaro\u2019s commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement, ensuring that future generations understand the importance of preserving wetlands for a sustainable world.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
