A first for Exxaro - OPSA certification for our office professionals

At Exxaro, our Office Professionals play a key role in keeping things running day to day. They help teams stay organised, support different departments, and often work quietly behind the scenes to keep everything moving.

To create more connection, growth, and recognition within the admin space, the Office Professionals Committee was formed earlier this year. This platform has already made a meaningful difference, giving our admin professionals a place to share ideas, support one another, and grow in their roles.

Now, we are proud to share a major milestone; a group of our Office Professionals have officially become certified members of the The Association for Office Professionals of South Africa (OPSA); a first of its kind for Exxaro and especially for our administration fraternity.

The certification handover was held 28 May, where we celebrated this incredible achievement and the hard work that went into making it happen. It is not just about the certificate, but it is about what it represents. These team members took the step to upskill, grow in their profession, and formally align themselves with a recognised body in their field. We hope this will be the start of many more opportunities like this and that it encourages others to also step forward and grow.

Sinegugu Ndletyana currently serves as the Chairperson of the Exxaro Office Professionals Forum – a role she embraces with remarkable passion and dedication. Through her inspiring leadership, she continues to uplift the forum and its members, always putting people first.

Under Sinegugu’s guidance, the forum is redefining how Office Professionals are perceived – not only by their colleagues but by themselves too. She champions the strategic value that Administrators bring to the business, ensuring their contribution is recognised as an integral part of Exxaro’s success.

This commitment and impact did not go unnoticed. Supported and nominated by her fellow colleagues and members of the EOP Forum, Sinegugu proudly represented Exxaro at the National Administrative Excellence Awards 2025, where she was honoured as the Second Runner-Up Winner – a well-deserved recognition of her dedication to the profession.

We believe this group will go on to achieve great things – applying what they’ve learned, taking up more space, and using their voices and skills in powerful ways. This is a big win for the admin community at Exxaro, and we hope to see more of these moments going forward.
