Leeuwpan mine supports young netball stars at Laerskool Eloff

Youth Month Feature

Leeuwpan Mine recently stepped in to support the rising netball stars of Laerskool Eloff by donating new sports kits to the school’s U/11, U/12, and U/13 netball teams. The school, located in the heart of Eloff, Mpumalanga, serves learners from Eloff, Sundra, and Delmas and has long championed youth involvement in sport and culture as part of their holistic development.

Until now, the girls had only been able to play friendly matches in  school t-shirts and rugby shorts, impacting their confidence on the court. Leeuwpan donated the netball kits to the learners in May this year. Thanks to the donation, the young athletes now proudly wear netball uniforms, fostering a renewed sense of pride, unity, and motivation. The mine’s support has not only boosted team spirit but also strengthened its relationship with the surrounding community in the Victor Khanye Local Municipality (VKLM), proving once again that investing in youth is investing in a better future.
