Grootegeluk unveils first electric vehicle
in pilot project
Our journey towards a low-carbon future continues to gain momentum as we bring our Sustainable Growth and Impact strategy to life. One of the latest steps in the journey – the Proof of Concept (PoC) to replace previously decommissioned, diesel-powered Light Duty Vehicles (LDV) with fully converted and refurbished electric vehicles.
We are delighted to share that the first converted vehicle was officially unveiled this month, a pilot project that marks a critical step in our decarbonisation journey.
Below are some of the vehicle’s highlights:
Charging time: 2 hours
Travel range: 100–150 km
Power: 60–90 kW
Max speed: 140 km/h (currently capped at 60 km/h)
Regenerative braking
Weight: 1.69 tonnes
A big thank you to the project team for this milestone. It reinforces our commitment to innovative, sustainable solutions that shape a cleaner energy future.
